Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 19, 2026
Hi, I'm the developer behind Yarnie
Yarnie is an indie app built by a solo developer who genuinely cares about your privacy. I collect only what I need to build a better experience for crafters, and nothing more. This policy explains exactly what data I gather, why, and how you can control it.
What I collect
When you sign up for the Yarnie waitlist, I ask for the following information:
- Your email address (so I can notify you when Yarnie launches)
- Your craft type — knitting, crochet, or both
- What excites you most about Yarnie
- How you currently track your projects
- Your thoughts on AI-powered pricing features
All of these fields except email are optional. I use this information solely to understand what crafters need so I can build a better app.
How I store your data
Your waitlist data is stored securely in Supabase, which acts as my data processor. Supabase hosts data on secure, encrypted infrastructure. I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties.
Cookies and tracking
I do not use any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party cookies on this website. The only client-side storage is your language preference (saved in localStorage so the site remembers your chosen language) and the essential cookies provided by my hosting provider, Cloudflare, for security and performance purposes. I have no interest in tracking your browsing behavior.
Data retention
I keep your waitlist data for as long as it's needed to communicate with you about Yarnie's launch and development. Once the waitlist period ends, I will either migrate your preferences into your app account (with your consent) or delete them.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data I hold about you
- Ask me to correct any inaccurate information
- Ask me to delete your data entirely
- Withdraw from the waitlist at any time
To exercise any of these rights, reach out through our website. I'll respond as quickly as I can.
Children's privacy
Yarnie is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If I make meaningful changes to this policy, I'll update the date at the top of the page. Since I'm still pre-launch, this policy may evolve as the app develops — but my commitment to your privacy won't.
